I-751, traveling with an expired GC : feedbacks
Hi everyone, I need your help. My Green Card has expired, and my I-751 is still pending. I have the letter indicating my Green Card extension for 48 months. I plan to travel abroad and will, of course, bring my extension letter with me. My main concern is when returning to the U.S. At the airport in the country I’m departing from, they usually ask to see my Green Card before allowing me to board a flight to the U.S. If they notice the expiration date, even if I show them the extension letter, I wonder if it might be an issue—especially since I don’t know if they are familiar with this notice (I-751 extension). Has anyone been through this experience? If so, I’d really appreciate it if you could share your insights. Thanks!! Driss

documently qualified but they left a note
-filled: Sep 2023 -approved: mid Jan 2025 -send to NVC: End of Jan 2025 -NVC email arrived: End of Jan 2025 -Paid Fees: End of Jan 2025 -uploaded all documents: Feb 10th 2025 -DQ: 2/18/2025 DQ But CEAC left the following note: "The income reported as stated on form I-864, I-864A is insufficient to overcome the public charge grounds of inadmissibility for visa issuance. To avoid delays, an additional Affidavit of Support Form I-864 from a joint sponsor may be submitted. For more information visit https://nvc.state.gov/aos and https://www.uscis.gov/ i-864p. A consular officer will decide if you meet these requirements at the time of the interview. Note: You, as the sponsor, and any other sponsors household members and joint sponsors, must provide updated or additional evidence for the applicant to present at the time of their interview such as: * Other income * Assets * Proof of current employment Note: You submitted documentation to the National Visa Center through the Consular Electronic Application Center CEAC. You can continue to upload documents to CEAC up until the date of your visa interview." Our sponsor earns more than the amount they are requesting. I’m not sure why they would offer this to us—is it a general message sent to everyone? If you’re married with two kids and want to sponsor both of your parents, the required income is less than $60K, correct?
