September and end of the day government attorney send me email please give me a two weeks extension and agency approved your travel documents and yesterday she send me email agency want defend case bcz your green card pending is normal time and my file pending is 21.5 months and also i told my license cancelled due to non domicile and agency said you have work permit you can work anywhere in usa and you have also travel documents you can travel as well i don't know what i can do right now

has anyone traveled with a passport in maiden name and gc in new name?
I am planning a trip to Brazil so that my kids can finally meet their grandmother(my mom) in February. My passport has my maiden name and my green card has my married name. I’m running into issues to get a new Brazilian passport due to some laws that have passed. I wouldn’t be able to get it before February. Has anyone traveled with their passport in their maiden name? I haven’t used my green card before and I’m so afraid of being denied entry, especially because my children will be with me. I have proof of marriage as that shows my name change but just seeing if anyone has had a similar experience.#maidenname #reentry
asylum letter
Hello, my husband is the principal applicant on our asylum petition. We had our interview in April 2025, but there is no decision yet. Today, I saw an email notification that a letter addressed to me is arriving from the asylum office where we had our interview. What could it be? Is anyone else in the same situation?
EAD delay
EAD renewal has been pending for more than 503 days, and I still haven’t received any update. but last week my I131 got approved . Is anyone else experiencing similar delays with their VAWA EAD renewal? If so, how long have you been waiting, and have you received any updates from USCIS?

My asylum application was filed on December 6, 2025.
* I completed my first asylum interview on January 28, 2026.
* I contacted the Arlington Asylum Office in June 2026 and received a response that I understood to indicate that a decision was near.
* I received three USCIS “action taken” email notifications on September 5, 2026, without seeing a new official decision in my Documents section.
* My USCIS case history continued to display “You completed your interview with USCIS” and “Application is pending.”
* My backend JSON showed “review returned” and later “needs reinterview.”
* I had not received an official notice confirming a second interview or a final asylum decision.
My main concern is the discrepancy between my official USCIS case history and the internal information appearing in the backend JSON.
My official case history indicates that I completed my interview and that my application remains pending. Meanwhile, the backend information contains the labels “review returned” and “needs reinterview.”
I would like to understand whether my case is still undergoing supervisory review, whether it has been returned for additional processing, or whether USCIS is considering scheduling another interview. Any help will be appreciated
EB-3 Unskilled I-485 Denied Due to Medical Error
Hi everyone! I’m hoping someone has been through something similar.
I applied for my green card through EB-3 Unskilled (Other Workers). My priority date is February 2022.
Here’s my timeline:
* August 2026: USCIS received my I-693 RFE response.
* September 8th 2026: My I-485 was denied because the civil surgeon forgot to check the polio vaccination boxes.
* September 15: USCIS received a corrected I-693 and a signed letter from the doctor acknowledging his mistake (I had until Sep 16 to reply to the RFE).
* After September 15: My online status changed from “Denied” back to “RFE Response Received,” saying USCIS had begun working on my case again.
* September 26: My status changed to “Case Required USCIS To Send A Notice.” The letter turned out to be an informational FBI biometrics privacy notice.
* October: My attorneys prepared an I-290B Motion to Reopen since we haven’t received formal confirmation that the case was reopened.
My biggest concern is my EAD. I had to stop working after the denial and have been on unpaid leave while waiting for USCIS.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Does the status changing back to “RFE Response Received” mean my I-485 could be pending again? And for those who filed an I-290B, how long did it take to reopen your case and get your work authorization back?

Hi everyone! For those who filed their I-485 adjustment of status under EB-2 NIW in April 2026, have you received your EAD (work permit) yet?
If so, how long did it take from your receipt date to approval and/or receiving the physical card? If you're still waiting, could you share your receipt date and current status?
I'm trying to get an idea of the current processing times for April filers. Thank you! 🙏
