i485 - RFE for Medicals

Hi everyone, I received an RFE on my i485 application on Aug 11th from LA Field office. I don't live in the CA area. I have submitted the i693 and medicals via attorney to that location and my status changed to "RFE Response received on Sept 9th". Haven't had any other updates after that. Was wondering if there is anyone in the same boat or knows how long does it generally take from here. EB-3 application, Nov 25, 2013 is the priority date.

Does anyone who had a combo I-751/N-400 interview at the Santa Ana Field - California still have a pending decision? I had my combo interview on June 29, 2026, and I’m still waiting for an update on both cases. My case is pretty straightforward — I’ve been married for almost 6 years, we have a child who is almost 4 years old, and my husband attended the interview with me. I passed the English and civics tests, and I don’t owe any taxes. The officer told me she needed to enter/process everything in the system and that the I-751 would need to be resolved before the N-400 could be approved. Has anyone else had a combo interview at Santa Ana around June/July and is still waiting? If you’ve already received an approval, I’d really appreciate it if you could share your interview and approval dates.

VISA BULLETIN OCTOBER 2026

I think Visa bulletin will be posted tomorrow or Next week as they are waiting on the decision of the judge for a stay on 75 countries. just like last month they posted at the very end they might have prepared two Visa bulletins. One will be where the judge does not give a stay and the other one will be where the judge gives the stay to the government, what do u guys think?

Pro Se Mandamus — Who Should Be Named as Defendants?

I’m planning to file a pro se mandamus/APA case regarding a delayed I-485. I live near Sacramento, California, but when I contacted USCIS, they confirmed that my case is currently being handled by the Queens, New York Field Office. For a pro se filing, who should I name as defendants? Should I include USCIS, the USCIS Director, the DHS Secretary, and/or the Queens Field Office Director? I’d appreciate any guidance, especially from anyone who has recently filed a similar mandamus case.
