2025 to 2028 is going to be very tough for us.
-Be prepared for increased wait times.
-Be prepared for increased & unnecessary obstacles & increased scrutiny by USCIS.
-Travel only if it’s an emergency.
-Mandatory interviews might become a thing for all types of applications.
I have only come across negative news about immigration since Mr.Dump was elected. Man, we are all exhausted but I am glad there are apps like this where we share experiences & support each other.
Tax return payment
My husband is an US Citizen.
He recently got some letters from IRS that says he hasn’t paid back some tax from 10 years ago and couple years ago.
Somehow he thought he paid already but apparently he didn’t. He made a payment.
My questions are
- Why IRS suddenly sent him tax return letter from 10 years ago.
- Is it because USCIS is processing the form and checking him tax return info?
- If so, they should have sent me RFE about it?
what do you guys think?
My status hasn’t updated at all and I’m a bit anxious.

Experience with attorney communication in lawfully
I have sent request 4 times for consultation. 3 were reject. luckily 4th one was booked with 5:00pm est. but 5:01pm attorney cancelled the appointment. I simply wasted my time. So really want to check if you guys really tried or facing the same issue. I thought lawfully help but I was wrong.

Had the interview this morning and got approved on the spot. USCIS officer said I should expect to receive the card within 4 weeks. I-130 approval letter already shows in the account.

hey everyone, I’m just curious, my wife and I will be married for 2 years in May 2025, since our i130 hasn’t been approved yet I’m assuming it’s gonna be possible for our interview date to be after the 2 years, does that mean that we would be put into the IR1 visa catergory instead of the CR1 like we originally were applying for?
