H4 and H4 EAD pending..
My husband’s H-1B was filed in August 2025 under regular processing. His employer upgraded the case to premium processing in May 2026, and it was approved at the end of May 2026. However, my H-4 and H-4 EAD applications are still pending. Is anyone else in a similar situation? If so, what can I do from my side?

Travel with Advance Parole?
Hello everyone,
I’m seeing a lot of news circulating about a new rule regarding Advance Parole travel.
Does anyone know what exactly changed? Does this mean we can no longer travel outside the U.S. using a valid Advance Parole?
I have a pending I-360 and I-485 and was planning to travel soon. Just wanted to see what everyone here thinks or understands about this new rule.
Thanks!
Help and Advice from everyone
Hello everyone, does anyone here live in Rochester, Minnesota around Winona State University, Rochester campus? I want to move to Minnesota but I am scared due to high cost of living there and finding off campus job/CPT that would give me time to study. I need help with finding an affordable accommodation around the campus area. Also, I want to know if it is safe to travel by air or by road considering how everything is unfolding and changing every day now from one immigration rule to the other?
I have an approved I-140 but my I-485 is still pending, and I have valid I-20, Int'l passport, and I-94. Thanks.
I-130
Hi everyone,
I filed separate I-130 petitions for both of my parents, who are currently living in Romania, in November 2023. Both cases are still pending, and we have not received a decision yet.
We contacted USCIS and also requested assistance through a senator’s office, but we were only told that the cases are still processing normally. It has been almost three years, and the waiting time is becoming very difficult for our family.
Is anyone else in a similar situation, especially with I-130 petitions for parents filed in 2023? How long have you been waiting, and have you received any recent updates or approvals?
Thank you!

AOS and the new RFE rule
Hi I was granted asylum by Uscis in Oct’25 and applied for AOS right away in Nov’25.Normally uscis allows you to apply for AOS without waiting for 1 yr after your asylum grant but doesnt adjudicate your case before that time period has been up. And when the time comes to adjudicate your case after 1 year, they send RFE for 1 year presence from asylum gramt. With this new RFE rule in effect, should we send the 1 year presence evidence ahead of their adjudication so that it wouldnt be subject to denial due to lack of evidence or are asylum cases exempt from this rule since it s technically not possible to provide the 1yr evidence in your application made before the 1 yr period?
VAWA transferred to NBC after 4+ years — anyone with a similar timeline? Post
I’m wondering if anyone with a VAWA case has been in a similar situation or can share what happened after their case was transferred to NBC.
My timeline:
**I-485 filed:** June 8, 2021
**I-360 VAWA filed:** February 9, 2022
**RFE response received by USCIS:** April 8, 2026 (Also sent Medicals along with RFE response)
I have also had multiple congressional inquiries and follow-ups due to the long processing time.
Recently, my congresswoman’s office was told by Vermont that my **I-360 had been transferred to NBC on June 30th.** were told the transfer was related to an **interview requirement**, but NBC has not provided any further information or interview date yet.
It has now been roughly **5–6 weeks since the transfer**, and neither my I-360 nor I-485 online case status shows any update reflecting the transfer or interview.
Has anyone with a VAWA I-360/I-485 experienced something similar?
Especially curious how long after an NBC transfer you received an interview notice or other movement, and whether your online status ever showed the transfer.
Any recent VAWA timelines would be appreciated.
