I-130 Withdrawal Rescission – Has Anyone Experienced This?

Hi everyone, My wife (U.S. citizen) filed an I-130 petition for me on February 18, 2025 (IR-1/CR-1). Due to the emotional stress and difficulties of our long-distance marriage, she submitted a withdrawal request on October 19, 2026. On October 26, USCIS acknowledged receiving the withdrawal request but stated that an officer had not yet reviewed and processed it. After reconsidering her decision, she changed her mind and wanted to continue the petition. She therefore signed and notarized a letter requesting USCIS to rescind the withdrawal on November 3 and uploaded it to her USCIS account on November 6, 2026. My questions: 1. Since USCIS had not yet processed the withdrawal, is there any possibility they will accept the rescission request? 2. Has anyone experienced a similar situation? 3. Did USCIS allow your I-130 petition to continue after receiving a rescission request? 4. Would contacting USCIS or involving an immigration attorney help? I would really appreciate hearing about actual experiences or advice from anyone familiar with this situation. Thank you!

hi all. Finally ı get the interview date on dec 2nd. ı’m just curious about my husband has tax debt, but he planned paid it in installments by consulting the state. To what extent does this affect my exam???

I filed my mandamus lawsuit on October 6, 2026, but the government attorney has not appeared on the docket yet. Has anyone experienced a similar situation? Is it normal for the government attorney to take this long to appear? Should I just continue waiting, or is there anything I need to do at this point? I would appreciate any advice or guidance. Thank you!

Adjustment of status from B2 after marrying US citizen

Hello! I (US citizen) met someone in the US while she was visiting on her B2 visitor visa. Its been about 3 months we met and we’ve genuinely developed the relationship from liking to wanting to do life together. I did some research online and looks like many things have changed related to immigration recently. We are genuinely wanting to get married and live together. Is it a good idea to file for change of status within US? has anyone had a similar experience recently in past 8 months? what was your experience like.

I'm grateful to God for the journey so far and this amazing community. PD April 2021 Submitted June 2022 Card being produced Sept 9 and Case Case approved Sept 10. No card. Multiple agents said to wait. Oct 16- An agent finally told me there was issue with the photo!!!! Did 2 Congressman inquiry. Did Non delivery inquiry. After multiple chats with agents, phone calls with agents. Attempted Adit stamps. First Attempt- The document was never mailed after approval email. Second attempt- Had to call uscis again and the officer was kind enough to schedule a next day appointment for me at uscis. Got the stamp and also got my photo taken. Same day card was sent for production. 5 days later card was mailed. 2 days later card delivered.

I have responded to my RFE. Fingers crossed. My third attempt. Two EB2-NIW and One EB1 A. I believe my testimony is assured this time.

Has Anyone Filed a Writ of Mandamus Pro Se in Massachusetts?

hI filed my asylum-based I-485 in April 2023 and completed my interview at the Lawrence Field Office on August 26, 2026. My case is still pending. I have made multiple USCIS inquiries and contacted Senator Markey’s office. USCIS recently confirmed that my case is under active examination and outside normal processing time. I am considering filing a Writ of Mandamus on my own because I cannot afford $4,000–$5,000 in attorney fees. Has anyone filed mandamus pro se, especially in Massachusetts? I would really appreciate any guidance or templates.

hello guys I am about to file my Citizenship application. but my one question is in 2018 I took a trip to Mexico to renew my student visa but when I was returning from the border I was stopped by cbp and was held for about 24hrs b4 I was let go. while I was going through the citizenship application I saw a question about if I have ever been arrested. should I indicate that in my application or say No.
