Hi everyone,
I’m an asylee waiting for my I-485 (Adjustment of Status) to be processed.
Here is my timeline:
• I-485 filed/received: 12/06/2024
• Biometrics: 12/27/2024
• RFE issued: 02/21/2025
• RFE response received by USCIS: 04/09/2025
• No major updates since then.
Today, 09/25/2026, I received an email from USCIS saying:
“On September 25, 2026, we issued a notice for your Form I-485…”
The case status still shows Initial Review
What do you guys think the notice could be? What should I expect?

I Still Can’t Believe I Have My Green Card 😭🙏🏾🇺🇸❤️
Hi everyone ❤️
I still can’t believe I have my green card. Every day I wake up and look at that green card like, wow, this is really mine 😂. After everything I went through and all the years I waited and prayed, sometimes it still doesn’t feel real.
I promised myself I’m going to use this blessing wisely. I’m going to school, I’m working on my future, and I’m preparing to join the U.S. Army and serve this country. I don’t want everything I went through to be for nothing. I want to make something good out of this opportunity God gave me.
And for everybody who is still waiting, please don’t lose hope. I know it’s easier to say that when you already have your approval, because when I was waiting, there were days I was tired too. Days I cried, prayed, got frustrated and wondered when my turn was going to come.
But God did not forget me, and He has not forgotten you either.
“For with God nothing shall be impossible.” Luke 1:37
“Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” Psalm 30:5
I pray that everybody still waiting gets their good news. I pray God gives you the strength to keep going even when you feel tired of the process. Keep praying. Keep believing. Keep doing what you have to do.
I’m telling you, I still look at my green card like… God, You really did it. 😭🙏🏾❤️

my case updated today to show “Case Required USCIS To Send A Notice”, did anyone receive this update too?
especially people who had repeated fingerprints event in mid july.

Asylee I-485 — Field Office or Asylum Office?
My asylum was approved in 2024, and my I-485 has been pending since November 20, 2024.
Emma first told me my I-485 was transferred from NBC to the Boston Field Office. Today, another agent told me Asylum Office.
Is it normal for an asylum-based I-485 to be with the Asylum Office, or should it normally be at a Field Office?
Has anyone had the same experience?
Case Required USCIS To Send A Notice
Hi all!
On September 25, 2026, we issued a notice for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSC23900. Please follow the instructions in the notice.
I received this notification today. What could it be? USCIS received my medical exam on 12th August, 2026.
officially hit a whole year since RFE
I applied i360 and i485 concurrently back in January 2022. Since then, I received a RFE last summer of 2025. The RFE was received back in September 2025. For background I am a woman. Married to a US citizen. I’am from Mexico and the RFE was regarding more evidence of abuse and good faith marriage. I submitted police reports that happen after my initial filing in 2022 more pictures of the abuse and also pictures of family trips and what not. as well as additional bills/health insurance that had both our names. Also, I have received multiple PF and currently have a 5 year EAD hopefully good news soon.
