At least this is a sigh of relief 😭😭😭
My lawyer submitted my Vawa package with EAD application and advanced parole on the 09/14/2023 and the only update I got on those were ( biometrics, RFE for good moral character and about 6 prima facie.
I ending up watching a few YouTube videos as how to file a different EAD because it's been over 2 years since that one was pending. I watched the video and I did filed and submit one myself on the 08/28/2025 and sent to USIS field office and they responded with I-765 received. One year and 16 days later the one I sat in the garage and did by myself was the one that got approved on the 14th day of September 2026 the same exact date I filed my Vawa petition 3 years ago.
we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us ❤️🙏🏾
my EAD approval felt like I won the lottery tbh 🥹🥹

Started this journey in 2022 (PWD) . It’s been a long wait, especially after spending the whole year waiting for file I-485.
My 485 was sent to the Kansas City FO at large batch transfer (12/23/2025) and then transferred back to the Dallas FO (4/23/2026) for interview. After 106 days finally approved and waiting for the physical card now.
I would say it’s always darkest before the dawn. Don’t blame yourself too hard, it is all about PROCESS. It’s been an incredibly difficult and exhausting journey, but you’re going to make it. And You’ll cross that finish line. ❤️

I am still trying to stay hopefull and positive , trusting the process with all my heart .
I really hope , the outcome is positive despite of waiting this long and being hopefull.
amen.

Interview Done, everything was fine thanks to god 🙏🏻 🇸🇻
Everything went well!!
Everything went well. First, they had me raise my right hand and take an oath. Then they asked me questions like my name, address, age, the date I first entered the country, where I entered, and whether I was inspected upon entry; after that, there was a whole bunch of yes-or-no questions. These were the security questions that appear on the I-485 application. Since I don't have a bad record or any DUIs, I answered "no" to about 90–95% of the questions. He was marking off each question as he asked it; the lawyer told me that sometimes they don't ask every single required question and skip a few, and in this case, he did skip some.
I struggled a little to understand a couple of questions because of his accent—it sounded African—but whenever I asked him to repeat a question, he did so without any problem; he was a nice guy.
Since the lawyer who accompanied me handles Special Immigrant Juvenile Status appointments, the officials already know lawyers like her; he would ask her questions and they would chat, which helped calm me down a bit.
In the end, he said I would receive a decision by mail, though he didn't know exactly when I'd get it because he had a heavy workload. Now, all that's left is to wait for the decision.
The lawyer said that the moment I receive the approval, I’ll officially be a resident and can start working again, even if the card hasn't arrived yet. Since my work permit is expired, she said she would look into whether I could keep working with that permit (I had applied for the permit at the same time as the residency), though I don't think so—Trump got rid of the automatic extension policy, unlike under Biden. To get in, I needed the interview appointment letter and my ID; we went through X-ray screening and then to a window where they took my photo and gave me a ticket with a number, and finally, the man who interviewed us called us over.

My c31 ead expires sept 29 and its been over a year since I submitted medical and almost 2 years since my vawa was approved. I was told by my HR this week that I will be removed from the schedule after the 29th. Am so stressed out, I was trying to get an expedited request for my ead renewal but it seems the lawyers office is moving slow. When I call them about the 5th of Sept it wasn't submitted yet and seems like they wanted to reprimand me for sending an email and putting everyone on it that I was expecting a call back about the documents I submitted for evidence to see if it will help the expedited request. I still was not notified if expedite request was sent. I previously asked about mandamus and they said i was still within processing time smh. I dnt know what else to do.
I’ve done my interview since august 14,2025 still waiting case saying currently processing. I believe my God going to grant me favor for those who still waiting just remember God still working🙏🏾
