about traveling outside us
hey folk ! i m here on student visa before but now i have vawa greencard and safely travel out of country once in jan 2026 on vawa greencard and cbp didn't askd me a single question when i return but i might be think when i was on student visa i was apply for OPT and it was denied that time but i think i forgot to mention on my vawa application ( not sure) so if i travel again this upcoming january it can be a problem upon reentry ?
please let me know if anyone have same situation or who travel already

I finally got an update after 2 years of waiting. After further research many people are saying it is an FBI privacy act notice, however I believe everyone will receive different information. Some people may receive an RFE, an approval letter, a denial letter, an interview or perhaps the FBI privacy act letter. I still have not received mines, but when I do I’ll update anyone who reads this. Blessings.

Updates on USCIS notice
For everyone who got “Case Required USCIS To Send A Notice”: It appears to be a generic mass update related to the FBI Privacy Requirements for Biometrics Collection / Continuous Immigration Vetting. No action is required. Based on Lawfully data, it looks like at least ~30,000 I-485 cases received the Notice update in the last three days, including people who were already approved, so it doesn’t appear to indicate approval, denial, RFE, or anything specific about your case.
Separately, we’re now entering the last 3 days of the federal fiscal year (ending Sept. 30), so hopefully we see a strong final processing push. That is unrelated to this notice.

anyone waiting I-751 removal of conditions since septermber 2024 ? looks like this process is not moving forward. I called twice each one gave different expectations . first call December 2026 Jan 2027 . second call september 2027 . 😕 . ridiculous.

Notice
I got fingerprint was reapplied for i-485 in July, I got a notification today saying a Notice was sent for the i-485. Vawa Sept 2022 still pending.
Some people say it might be that they need to retake fingerprint.
I don't know why would they reapply fingerprint in July and then send notice to retake fingerprint !?!

My I-485 has remained pending for several years and earlier this year case was reopened and Last month, the case status was updated to indicate that my fingerprints were taken/applied to my case.
now, my I-485 status changed to “Case Required USCIS To Send A Notice.” The status states that USCIS issued a notice and that I should follow the instructions in the notice. However, I cannot see the notice in my USCIS online account, and I have not yet received the physical notice in the mail.
Please i need Help, I'm in a dying Situation now.

I filed for my marriage based application after 2yrs+ of toxic marriage and violence and abuse from my spouse. Then USCIS sent a RFE requesting for my spouse current year tax return. But she boldly declined just to punish me, so few days to the RFE deadline, I got a new lawyer to start my vawa case/application. I submited all the evidence of abuse, police report clearance, doctors report and many more documents. So we fill out the i360 application and he mailed it in response to the RFE to the address stated below the RFE letter which is NBC with a cover letter requesting that the marriage based application should be converted to VAWA without asking them to hold my i485 which i now realised that was a BIG mistake.
After NBC recieved the packet on the 11th of August, my i485 was updated to Request recieved and i didn't hear anything again until 5days ago i got an update that my i485 has been Denied but my I-130 is still pending. And as we speak now, i have not recieved notification receipt for my I-360 and i don't know where the application is or the status of it.
Please i need help, I now see it clearly that the lawyer i hired don't know anything at all about handling VAWA. What i should i do next? Should i go to a non profit organisation to get a new lawyer? I have spent all my savings from the family based lawyer to these Vawa lawyer. I am completely empty. And i haven't work Or had any work permit since i have been in this country. I need advice Please. I'm so heart broken and can't sleep anymore.
