Hello guys so I’m a green card and student overseas in my home country Sudan
The last time I went back to the USA the CPB officer
Has advised me to apply for an I-131 reentry permit or stay for 6 months & 1 day After I can travel again to finish my last 5th year in dental school
So I did both
I applied for a reentry permit + did my biometric And then finish six months & 4 days
Then traveled , now I’m in Sudan after 6 months and My Sudanese passport has expired and I’m waiting to get the new one
BUT 🔥 now my case was suddenly approved and the reentry permit produced
after 6 months and 14 days in Sudan
So could I now stay or must I come back ??
And is it gonna affect my citizenship if i stayed for more six months when I apply ???

The interview went very smooth and she really laughed when we told our story, she asked how long have we been together (7 years) / how we met / have we met each other’s families? / where did we travel together? / what department i graduated my Master’s in the U.S. and some of my U.S. travel history (i-94) and that’s it!! 15 mins 😊

I just want to share that I finally received my green card! Thank you to this community for making the wait bearable. Each of us have our own circumstances and I can only hope that we all get what we pray for soon!
Some info: My case was transferred from Nebraska to NBC on March 17, 2022. Not given EAD/AP and did not have an interview. On April 27, “card is being produced”. A day after, case was approved. Then status changed to card is mailed, card is picked up by USPS. And today I have it on hand. 🙏🏻

I had my interview today at Newark FO, I was approved on the spot, officer showed me the paper as well which showed the case is approved and told me don’t worry about online status and you will get GC in 2weeks, I was just curious does it ok if your case doesn’t changed online?

My I-130 status shows that the case was approved today. Will it change to Case was sent to Department of State or stay the same? I have seen most people receiving Case was sent to DOS.
