NVC Question
So I'm still waiting for my mom's interview letter from NVC but my question is does she really need to bring all original documents from the petitioner to the NVC to show? like W2s in my case all my W2s is online so the only thing I can do is to sent it through her email and make her print it out.
For those who already had their embassy interview — did you bring the docs of your petitioner with you? Or was a photocopy and printed enough? Just want to double-check what they actually looked for during the interview. Thanks!
Green Card Finally Approved
it’s been a crazy ride. Had my interview July 11, and felt like officer was trying to find faults. Was sweating so much. Finally they decided I needed to submit a transcript for a university that I transferred out of. They never issued an RFE, so I mailed it in anyway with a cover letter. Didn’t hear anything further. Reached out to congress and they told me USCIS confirmed they received my transcript and actively working on case. this was in August and no updates after that. Today case is approved. It’s been a long draining process. and I thank God so much for the strength

denied f-1/ citizenship
In 2021 I filed F-1 to extend my previous visa and I got denied due to I didn’t go to biometric appointment on time. Fast forward I have 10 years green card and N-400 is in processed. Will F-1 denied affect citizenship processing? I became a permanent resident before F-1 visa was denied. I was on FB group where my national community is, and there is one girl got arrested by ICE when she went to USCIS for her green card interview, she was over stay 7 years and she got F-1 denied then

As I enter this new year of life, may it be filled with answered prayers, open doors, healing, provision, family joy, and purpose fulfilled.

Interview update
(I wanna share objective facts)
I had 589 interview today. It tooks me 2 hours approximately deducting the 15 minutes break. The officer seems smooth in asking those countless questions and allow me speak till end. Anyway I am waiting for an interview result. Our Savior Christ will help me!
Lessons for future interviewees:
- make sure you have consistent answers and flawless storytelling
- give time for an asylum officer time to take notes and breathe (I was bad on that🥲)
- never hesitate to ask for clarity if you are not clear on a question
- take time and do mock interviews before the day
- be on time, dress causally, feel free to take breath and express your emotions during the interview (don’t exaggerate rather just be honest)
- officers are humans and they will be sad/happy and goes with your feelings if you tell them your truth and address their questions in contextual bases. (based on my experience)
- never try to jump/ignore their questions (always answer in precise but with a bit of context answers)
- I can’t say don’t be nervous bc it is decisive event for you/myself, but try to get back to road/focus/calmity as the interview went through deep
