Has anyone gotten married while their VAWA (I-360) and I-485 were still pending?
If so, what happened with your work authorization? Were you able to continue working with your existing VAWA-based EAD while the new marriage-based case was pending, or did you have to stop working and wait for a new EAD?
Also, did getting married affect your pending VAWA case or adjustment of status in any way?
I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has personally gone through this situation.

notice returned
Hello. March 2023 filer, I have been getting Prima Facie with the last one being in June 2026 which the previous one should have expired in July 2026. in July a notice was returned to the USCIS by the post office. It has been over 60 days. We did the request however we haven't had back as yet. any suggestions? I am beginning to think it was a duplicate.
adjudication delay
Has## anyone experienced this with the San Fernando Valley Field Office?
EB-2 NIW, PD September 29, 2023. I filed my I-485 in June 2025.
After a congressional inquiry, SFV said on July 30 that my case was assigned to an officer and should be adjudicated within 30 days. My case was updated internally on August 5, but the 30 days passed without a decision, RFE, or interview.
My congressional office followed up on August 31, but there has been no response yet.
Has anyone had a similar experience? How long after the congressional follow-up did you receive a decision?

Combo interview
I had my I-751 + N-400 combo interview on June 29 at the Santa Ana, CA field office. No updates since then. Anyone else in the same boat?
It was a very straightforward case. we have been married for almost 6 years, bought a house a couple of years ago, and have a son together who is about to turn 4.

Is here anyone waiting whose lc was filed in 2021 jan. Its been so frustrating that I already had my interview on january 2026 and it is updated to “interview cancelled notice ordered” after few days but no update yet after that. Added spouse just before the interview, is that tge reason its taking so long? Did congressman inquiry and got the response as actively reviewing the case. my case is in NBC. Anyone with similar experience?
oath ceremony cancelled
My N-400 was placed inline for oath ceremony scheduling on July 10, 2026 and I didn’t receive any oath ceremony notice. But this morning, I received a notice that my oath ceremony appointment was canceled even though I did not receive any oath ceremony notice since July 10, 2026 when I was placed inline for oath scheduling. I am wondering if this is normal?
CASE APPROVED !!! Finally after 4 interviews with lawyer, beneficiary and petitioner profile swaps and 1 NOID I’m happy to share my I-130 is approved now just waiting for I-485 approval.

After Years of Denials, RFEs, and Tears… I’m Finally a Green Card Holder 🇺🇸💚
When you want to give up, remember my story.
Today, I can finally say that I am officially a GREEN CARD HOLDER. 💚🇺🇸
But getting here was anything but easy.
Years of waiting. Denials. RFEs. An interview. More waiting. More disappointment. So many moments when I wondered, “God, when will it finally be my turn?”
I’ve been on this app since 2018. During this journey, I deleted it, downloaded it again, came back looking for answers, and sometimes just needed somewhere to release everything I was carrying.
There were days I was mad at myself. Days I was mad at my husband. And yes, there were even days I was mad at God. I cried. I questioned everything. I became exhausted from fighting the same battle year after year.
But somehow, I kept going.
And now, after all those years, all those denials, all those notices, all those prayers, and all those tears…
I AM OFFICIALLY A PERMANENT RESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. 🙏🏾🇺🇸💚
So if you're still waiting and you're tired, frustrated, or ready to give up, I understand that feeling more than you know.
My journey taught me one thing: a difficult chapter does not mean the story has a bad ending.
Mine took years.
