I don’t understand your story, my vawa was approved and in received a work authorization. Though I already have a work authorization which expires and later got my green card. I still have my valid work authorization from vawa which will expire next year.

@margaret walker, my vawa was approved last year, however I already had a work permit when it was approved. So I didn’t file for a work permit then. That work permit expires in August of this year. I had previously applied for my green when I applied for vawa. The green card is yet to be approved which is why I had to file for a renewal of my EAD/ combo card which expires next month. My question was more about getting a driver license renewal in the state of Tx with my vawa approval, since my driver license expires on the day my work permit expires, while waiting for feedback on the renewal of my work or a green card approval.
