june 24: RFE asking medical exam
july 16: medical exams sent with regular mail
today july 25: received this text on my phone: I-485 applicants receiving a Request for Evidence for Form I-693 should return it as soon as possible by overnight/priority/courier delivery.
Is this expected?

We got this message too. Our medical forms are there already too so not sure why this text was sent.
