at Bmv, they gave you a paper with your case number on it. on the back of that paper there is a number for the department of homeland security

but the save case has to be approved by uscis right?

no. i was waiting for 2 months. once i called they approved it on the same day. right now your case is waiting for homelakd security approval. it is just sitting there abd no one is looking into it

yeah on the 11th they updated the website and sent me a letter saying they needed the DMV to resubmit every document. still waiting. I’ll have more info closer to Feb 12. I’ll keep this post updated

hi @nat, my date also got updated 2 days back. i did not get any letter. what does it mean to have date updated

@well better the uscis requested the dmv to resubmit all the documents. the letter simply said that they needed more documents to verify my identity or something , I’m hoping to get something by the 11th. I’ll keep you posted

yes I called and the officer said that the uscis asked them for the documents again on Jan 11th so I’m assuming Feb 11th. I’m giving it about a month because I went Dec14th the first time and that was the date I had, and Jan 11th when they changed the date is when they made the request. so I’m assuming by the 11th. what is your new date ?

exactly what happened to me I think they’re just overloaded and did that to get more time. you’ll be getting a letter too probably. I don’t remember. it took me a whole day calling a bunch of numbers to finally get to someone I honestly couldn’t remember if I tried. keep your eye on the mail and just have pacience. I’ll keep you posted

I’m good . all clear. got a call from dmv now to come in and capture for my renewal.
