i got AB 60 drivers license good for 4 years here in CA.

it is a drivers licence given to anyone who can’t provide legal status and SSN yet in CA.

As of January 2015, California residents who cannot establish legal presence in the United States may apply for a driver's license if they can show eligible proof of identification and residency in the state. These driver's licenses may not be used for identification purposes. By law, no one may discriminate against a holder of an AB 60 license, or use this license to attempt to question the holder's citizenship or immigration status.

Sixteen states and the District of Columbia have enacted laws to allow unauthorized immigrants to obtain driver’s licenses. These states—California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Utah, Vermont, Virginia and Washington—issue a license if an applicant provides certain documentation, such as a foreign birth certificate, foreign passport, or consular card and evidence of current residency in the state.

my friend got 4years drivers license in Nj with work authorization card that will expire in November, but they are waiting for Uscis interview result.3 months now noting from USCIS,but confused how they got 4years Driver license without green card

When did your friend get license? NJ just changed rules since may 1st. After may 1st they don't require to check immigration status. I have dmv appointment this Wednesday and have an expired EAD, Will see how that goes.
