Hi everyone,
I applied for adjustment of status through marriage in 2020, but my case was denied in april 2025, 5 years later, after my interview, because of issues related to my abusive husband.
In August 2025, I filed a VAWA case and received receipt notices and biometrics notices for my I-485, work permit, and travel document.
A couple of months later, I received an NTA saying I stayed in the U.S. beyond my authorized parole period after September 18, 2023, even though my previous immigration case had been pending before the denial.
Should I be worried? I already have a lawyer, but I would appreciate hearing from anyone with a similar experience.

usually court gives your case continuance until the uscis makes decisions on your pending vawa.

@liou ki I had virtual hearing and I had my lawyer he send my documents of I-485 and vawa pending and judge asked if DHS wants to oppose anything DHS did not oppose so they said my hearing will be next year and my attorney told me hopefully uscis makes a decision by then so I am due on court next year but if vawa gets approved NTA should be terminated
