My friend’s timeline
Texas Service Center. He sent only the application for EAD, in 29 days the case is already approved and a new card is being produced. So people that are doing only this are getting the EAD in a very short time, another friend did the exactly same thing and he got approved in 22 days.

Adriana, I applied on Sep 15 and I did my bio on Oct 8 and I’m still waiting. I really don’t understand how USCIS work sometimes.

he is not marriage based. We applied for 589 on April and we waited, I did, I applied for 485 and for 765 same day. He went some days later and he only submitted his 765 and in 29 days he got approved.

Rebecca, I’m in the same situation. I’m waiting for my renewal for almost 12 months and on unpaid leave for more than 2 months. it’s so frustrating

Guess this is just them trying to artificially lower their average processing time by approving really new applications. Nothing surprises me with them anymore

it's normal i589 is application form for asylum and USCIS by law has to adjudicate the EAD of applicants pending asylum within 30days from the day there i765 is received by law. so its very normal and with processing time for this category (C08).

a friend just got his EAD ec9 Texas and they applied in May 2021, I applied under same category in January 2021 and still waiting
