Hi Bol. No, you have to wait for the welcome letter from NVC. After you receive it and your case shows as READY at the NVC, you can then file the DS-160 and schedule your interview. You can’t do anything to schedule the interview because the NVC is not ready yet to send your case to the embassy.

It all depends on your embassy. If they are backlogged or closed, it might take a while to hear back from NVC. My fiancé’s embassy was backlogged, we waited almost 2 months for it to be sent to his embassy. @Bol

Actually I thought this backlog and embassy issues is not go’n affect immediate relatives but I’ve been seeing different type of responses from people that’s making me sad I’ll advice everyone going through this process to calm down and take this immigration process as something kept aside for you I’ll advice you to get on with what you are doing either business or school and just keep praying one day you’ll receive good news

You have to wait until the CEAC website shows “ready” before you can complete the DS-160, pay the visa fee, and schedule your interview.

You schedule the interview first and once you have that, you can schedule your medical appointment.

Your fiancé and you will be a family of 2. If you have children, then it will be a higher household size.

If it’s you and him, he has to meet the eligibility requirement of 100%. Everything is determined with his 2020 taxes. If it’s after this year’s filing period, it will be the 2021 taxes.

Everything is at the time of the filling out the form. If you haven’t adopted the children, it will be a family of 3. It will be you, your fiancé, and your fiancé’s son.

If you adopted the children by the time you file the petition and have the interview, then it will be a family of 5.

When you file the affadativ of support, if it will be 5, then it will be a household of that number.

You have to do the DS-160 first and then your medical exam. If not, they can’t find you because the form of tracking you is with the DS-160. Steps: complete the DS-160, pay the $265 visa fee, schedule the appointment, complete the medical exam, obtain the certificate of clearance, and attend your interview.

They asked questions about me, the petitioner (birthday, name, place of birth, address). They asked my fiancé about how we met and what our plans are for us together in the USA. They asked background check questions to my fiancé and that was it.

Hi @Bol. The petitioner completes the affidavit of support (I-134) and every section of the form is filled out. You need to attach evidence as well.
