why not both? it takes a while for i-824 to be processed

I see. my approval notice was mailed to me on may 3rd. green card mailed two days ago but already got it yesterday. that got me worried that there's no sign of approval notice in USPS informed delivery. does foia entitle you to receive the notice faster or how does it help?

FOIA isnt the same with the notice. But FOIA result can be helpful for you to prove that your card isn’t a fake. FOIA is definitely way cheaper than i-824. Faster? it depends. USCIS doesn’t periodically update the processing time for FOIA requests afaik...so we never really know the timeframe for FOIA
