I’m in the Navy but it really don’t matter which branch you’re in when you apply for naturalization. USCIS work with the military to help military members get their citizenship faster which takes 6 months. my case only took 4 months for my interview to be scheduled

my child (then 3yo) and spouse arrived in 2002. naturalized 2005, child was auto citizen. child has had a USA passport since 2006. never needed to apply to n400.

true that. I told the legal officer on base before I even use the N400 that my dad is a citizen and I suppose to derive citizenship from him because he was the one who brought me to the US and I was 14 when I moved to the US. I also lived with him before I even joined the military and move out but he was like no because my parents were not married so I should use the N4000.

No never had a American passport or citizenship before , so I think there should be no problem for me using the N400 for naturalization but the immigration officer told me I might have to reapply using the N600 because my dad is a citizen and if you come to the United States under the age of 18 and one of your parents is citizen you have to apply for certificate of citizenship and not certificate of naturalization.
