marriage based gc interview
we did our interview yesterday and the field officer asked us a couple a basic questions along with the yes/no questions on the i485 and asked if we had any evidence and we gave it to him and we asked him if he wanted pics and he said yes we can give him any 6 photos of us and then he asked ”if we don’t have anything else to give him that’s it for the interview“ and we said no, and that was the end of the interview; it lasted about 15 mins. he then walked us out and he didn’t say whether it was approved or denied; nothing has updated on the website/app since. is this normal and if so how long does it take to get a response?

Its normal, sometimes the officers are contractors so they don’t have the ability to make a decision on your case.

@Maja M we didn’t send photos initially and we gave him bank statements, life insurance, Costco membership, utility bills, car insurance, brokerage accounts

Ive been waiting for 2 months . My interview was very similar , only yes / no questions , and and I was asked for new pictures & insurance policy , bank statements etc . My attorney told me it’s because they are not supervisors therefore they can’t make a decision , so they have up to 120 days to give you a response .
