If your GC got approved then your current status becomes GC hence L is no longer valid...

it was denied because primary applicant is no more on L visa, he is now on Permanent residency. .

if you have green card you don’t need L2 anymore

correct...you get GC when you apply for change of status and your current status is L, but as soon as you get GC approved your status becomes GC...so post that L is no more valid because you got PR...

My wife and two kids go their 485 approved and gc was printed and posted in mail. I am a principal applicant employment based Eb1/l1 my 485 is still pending in status update is it a system glitch or is it normally happens?

may be a system glitch because dependents GC cant be approved without primary applicant's approval...your status may not be updated but you may receive the card along with family...status updates is pretty common issue..i submitted the medical RFE 1 mnth back and my status still showing as Biometric applied...
