L2 Continuation on I539 and EAD Receipt
Wanted to seek confirmation on Clarification on L2 employment continuation on EAD receipt as part of USCIS circular dated Nov 12. I have a EAD receipt and my L2 petition is under processing as part of extension of my spouse. Need to see if my I-9 can be extended using the I-539 Receipt just like L1 and i can continue my work using the EAD receipt I had. Please advise for next step.s. Thanks

with the receipt.. I don't think I can work.Asi m on the same boat since 4 days. and my employer did not accept it.

@neerav when did u apply your i539. have u applied your i765 along with your i539?

hi Subha..I applied it separately after receiving receipt for I-539 (I797) but before the expiry of my EAD

i know lot of employers have allowed too and its just a matter of how the attorney of ur employer interprets this change. so, how long it is taking ur L2 Approvals?

hi Neerav.. I have applied my i539 4months ago. got receipt only . I m waiting for some update from USCIS regarding the changes. do u mean.. I can request my employer to re consider my case with I797 .
