@Dee I I just gave up trying to figure out in what order uscis processes cases after dates become current. I don't think it's by priority date or receipt date. There seem to be no predictable method lol

That's because you mostly see approvals online. Almost nobody is going to post if their case is still pending

@Younes B You might be able to inquire about your case once we hit August since it would be 13 months since you submitted. . But hopefully you get Approval before then.

Seems like Chicago office is soo sloow. Mine also stuck at the Chicago Office. PD is June 13th & RD is Oct 10th.

@Zack Alim I’m Chicago too, however I doubt if the case is with them, if you’re MSC then it’s definitely with National Benefit Center.

@waited enough according to the live agent through Emma it’s at the Washington field office which is not local for me. I was told this at least in 3 different occasion but in between the last two times I was also told it never left the National Benefit center. Also the last two times was told it is at field office they said the last time an officer reviewed it 6-24-2025 at first then 1-31-2025. Not sure if any of these are accurate.

@Dee I Are you sure? Because I checked with Emma and agent said my case was transferred rto Chicago on June 4th.

@Zack Alim oops! I thought you meant Chicago was lockbox you submitted your application to. You’re right then, it should be with them if that’s what you were told

May 16 2023 still waiting. Based Emma live agent case at albuquerque FO since 06/16/2025. No updates and I dont know much about this FO

@Younes B If they say 27 June 2026, does that mean one has to wait for 24 months before inquiring? I thought average processing time is 12.5 months.

@Zack Alim Yeah I am not sure I've seen recent cases approved from Chicago field office.

@MD MD lol that is correct. I use casestatusext and I see that there are still quite a number of people waiting. I guess the issue is the absent of information. As long as there is no definitive estimate of when one's case is getting processed, every day of delay feels like an unfair delay lol.

@Private Me yeah you’re right but 12.5 it still an average which means the processing time could grately varies from case to case….and it still for the 80% of cases not talking about the other 20%.

In most case, I think the field office where cases are transferred to determines when you likely get approval. In my opinion and back by what I have seen online, LA office seems to be fastest among these field offices based on approval. Wishing you all the best
