I864 questions
Hello everyone, Please I want to make an enquiry. I got my wife’s case approved recently and we are currently at the NVC stage. I am filling out the i864 and it is saying I should attach a tax transcript from the most recent year. However, I could not file my 2022 taxes as i was in Nigeria most of this year with my wife. How would i go about resolving this issue and filling out the form correctly? Please I’ll be waiting for responses and thank you.

If you spent an entire year abroad without earning any income in the United States, you would need a co-sponsor for your wife because the authorities review the tax transcript to determine your eligibility to financially support her.
