Thank you guys !!!! I am so happy!! the reason for expedite was financial loss and medical reasons but I don’t know if that have something to do because my expedite request was for the travel permit and I still don’t have a decision on that one.

Hi Steven, thank you, to be honest I am confused because I applied for the ER base on the I -130 no for the work permit, but they approved the work permit, I applied for the expedite request 20 days ago, but not answer about that.

the only thing I now is that around 2 weeks after I applied for the expedite, my case was transferred to another office and my work permit was approved. but no answer in the expedite request.

hi Guys Just giving some updates so you know How long it take to get your permit after the case is approved, today uscs sent me the new card.

I have the same question about work authorization. I think you need to go to SSN office to get social security. Not sure if you need to wait I-765. (it does not make sense because you already have GC right).

@vk, each situation is different, in my case I already have a SSN when I have my student visa, regarding the work Authorization, I needed it while they approved my GC, I don’t have it yet.

I have similar case. I have an H1B Visa. I have SSN but I can't work with it like you. I'm attached to my company. I submitted i-485 and I-765 like you. I think once we get Green Card, USCIS does not process work authorization anymore because Green card already gives you permission to work. You just need to replace the SSN. I'm not sure but my friends (H1B Visa holder with limited SSN) just received GC and they are going to replace SSN at local SSN office without waiting work authorization. Please let me know if you find any useful information.

@VK, thank you for your information!! yes when you receive your GC you won’t need the work Authorization, I’m my case I received the Work Authorization because they are still working on my GC and is not approved yet. I will keep you posted.
