I-485 (May 2021 filer) approved in Nebraska
So unexpected! Got approved before EAD/I-131, no interview. I had sent medical after the courtesy notice, and did not get an RFE. EB2-1 category. Hang in there everyone!! #nebraska #i485

EAD was never approved, seems like they skipped that step completely.

Did your I 140 got approved earlier?
b b11 de feb de 2022
yes, I got it expedited after waiting for 5 months. didn’t want to risk that taking longer than the i485, so glad I did! processing times for i140 are long at the moment without expediting.

Congratulations!!!
My case is same as yours EB2-1,
Mine was filled concurrently on Aug 2021 with I-140 premium
but case went to TSC.
Your timeline gave me hope now.
Congrats again
b b11 de feb de 2022
hang in there! I know how stressful it is, and this came as such a surprise. I had lost hope of approval before summer to be honest.
🇺🇸 IOE 🇺🇸11 de feb de 2022
based on your timeline, mine might get approved in next 4-6months.
Hoping for the best. Good luck everyone.

keeping my fingers crossed for you

did you interfile you medicals or send them with the AOS application?
J S11 de feb de 2022
congratulations!! @bb - Do you mind sharing reason for 140 mins expedite and did they ask for any supporting docs?
b b11 de feb de 2022
Inter filed them. I got a courtesy notice and although my lawyer advices against it (thinking they may get lost, best to wait for RFE, etc), I went ahead and filed anyway. glad I did or I would have had more delay with an RFE.
b b11 de feb de 2022
I expedited on advice of a befriended lawyer: they mentioned that i140 and 1485 are on separate ‘piles’ and if USCIS gets to your i485 before your i140 is approved they’ll just consider it incomplete and put it back on the pile until your i140 is added. same with medical, etc. So I figured I wanted to have my i485 packet complete as soon as I could.

Given that my official lawyer was hired by the company and not by me, their interests were more aligned to delaying rather than expediting this process. That’s why I sought outside counsel too. highly recommend that if you’re in a similar situation and I wish I had done it years ago when this process started.
b b11 de feb de 2022
no supporting docs for expediting i140, just a lot of supporting dollars ;) They ask 2500$ to expedite i140.
J S11 de feb de 2022
ohhk you mean you converted to premium. unfortunately, my case is EB1C and it does not have premium option.
ser kan11 de feb de 2022

Sorry to bother you again but could you let me know when exactly you interfiled your medicals like which month?
Also when they attached your cases did they ever write u that they attached it or notified you via case status update?
Cal B12 de feb de 2022

b b12 de feb de 2022
@ser kan @cal b I interfiled medical in October, I never received any confirmation / notification that it was received or attached to my case.

I’m always wondering how many years we get on the GC under EB2 category? is it 10 years?
june filler concurrently nebraska13 de feb de 2022
congrats. quick question to you. did you receive any email or online update about the medical exam. I june filler and will travel for a month in march, my fear is they send me an mail and because i will not be in USA i lose the date. it will be much better if i receive the online update so i can return faster in case
b b13 de feb de 2022
I got a ‘courtesy notice’, by regular mail. it’s not the same as an RFE though so I don’t believe you can ‘lose a date’ because of that. I’m not 100% sure but I believe you can always interfile your medical, even without courtesy notice or RFE. might be worth checking as it will make sure you don’t lose time.
