@pater s my VAWA approved last April after a month they gave me my work permit then after a month they send me the schedule for my interview. when did you file your AOS under vawa?

@Aries I Thank you!!! I filed my VAWA dec.29,2021 then recieve a reciept notice Jan.11,2022 then i got my Vawa approval April 2025. i filed my AOS July 2023, then get my work permit last June 2025 then interview for my I-485 today then waiting for greencard

@pater s oh wow! and no update yet? that’s so long you have to update your case go to your lawyer or congressman or ombudsman that’s what i did. don’t just wait but you need to take actions too. it goes both ways

@mamou mamou yes just bring all of your documents so incase they need to ask more copies then you can give them. I brought all of my documents but she did not ask me anything only to see my id and passport then she returned it back after. :)

@Rosa Alme no ombudsman is kinda congressman thing but i think a bit more powerful but i dont think answer will change it will be same background check mandamus is different story in 60 days they have to answer but if you dont do yourself cost $5k

@Rosa Alme nope. Ombudsman is another private office sector who will help you to let the uscis know your papers so they will process it faster, mandamus is diff from the ombudsman. Background check? That’s crazy for that background check too much timeline wasted kept inquire them,. if you don’t have criminal records it should not be long like that

I have mine scheduled in 30 days so my question is : if I already submitted medicals thru RFE few months ago , are they gonna ask for medicals again ( because it’s on the list of documents) what documents besides passport did they ask you ? thanks in advance
