Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing well. I wanted to ask a very important question regarding immigration asylum to get your advice and feedback based on your experiences.
If someone won their asylum case, already received their Green Card, but continues to use the passport of their country of origin to travel regularly to other countries (without ever returning to the country they fled and claimed asylum from), does this cause a problem with USCIS?I was told that even with the Green Card in hand, using your national passport is considered 'reavailment' (seeking the protection of your country) and that USCIS can revoke your asylum, take away the Green Card, or block your file later when applying for citizenship. I was told that you should use the Refugee Travel Document (the blue booklet) instead. What do you guys think? Do you know anyone who has had problems because of this, or is it risk-free once you already have the Green Card? Thank you in advance for your answers.
