@Harshul verma I contacted my congresswoman, and USCIS replied that my case was under further review and that they couldn’t provide a timeframe for completion. Then, shortly afterward, I received an approval notice. Hopefully, you’ll get good news soon too.

@Vanou Dzali Yes, green card holders can contact their congressman for help with a USCIS case. In my case, they only asked me to sign a privacy release form and provide my case information (receipt number, name, and address). I didn’t have to submit tax returns or financial documents.

@Vanou Dzali No, my case was not outside the normal processing time when I contacted my congresswoman. I contacted her because my case had been pending for a long time and I wanted them to make an inquiry. They agreed to contact USCIS on my behalf. You can also contact your congressman anytime if you’re concerned about your case, but whether they can help depends on your situation. I hope your case gets approved soon!

I contacted Congress and received an email reply from USCIS stating a timeframe for me to wait and then contact them.

@Aboud . No, they did not set any appointment . They asked me to sign an authorization form so that they could inquire about my case with USCIS. When they received a response, they sent it to me. The response stated that I should continue to wait, that Congress cannot do anything to speed up the process, but their inquiry serves as a reminder to USCIS regarding my case.
