@akiva pesso but in your form did you ask for c09? mine was requested c31 , but my lawyer said i will receive it before vawa is approved because the abuser is a american citizen

@souza, your lawyer lied to you! I’m in the same boat here. once you applied for ead category c31, you will wait until your VAWA is approved. what I did was, when I later got to know, I refiled ead category c09 in April of last year and I got receipt notice and still waiting for approval. I too was married to a US citizen.
