there's no backlog in Nepal as far as I know coz I had interview on march but coz people are lazy there they don't work .. it might take a month or so ..

hi Ajit and Menuka , it would be a great help if you could shed some lights on timeline. I am in us right now and I am about to file my I 140 premium processing. I am thinking about coming/ going to Nepal for counselor processing. okay I’ll you be able to share how long will it take after Uscis sends my case to NVC. if you could share information it would be a great help

I have no idea about it what I know from my experience is NVC took little longer to send case to embassy… embassy in Nepal doesn’t took longer for me .. Mero chai K1 visa theyo so it didn’t took longer Aaru visa thaha xaina sorry

@ RG, USCIS takes upto 3 months to send case to NVC and I would not advice to choose consular processing from Nepal as it takinh years to receiving an appointment

Embassy in Nepal is all missed up they don’t care about anything.. when I went to embassy in April there was no one in there.. wasn’t much people for interviews or other stuff .. they just don’t care and don’t work . I hope they take care of everything soon .. and let people have their interviews soon ..

@Ajit. Currently, I’m in US and my I-140 is in NVC now. I’m thinking if I can stay US until my interview happens in Nepal. I can come a month before interview in Nepal. What do you suggest? Is it a good move?

under which visa that you are staying at US? is there is any specific reason to chose Consular processing instead of AOS?

@Ajit. I also have TPS so I’m working here through TPS visa. I had to go consular processing for some reason.

you can stay until your interview. I am US now and doing consular process

@ap In, my advice is not to try for consular processing as it's very difficult to get an interview appointment
