Its EB2-NIW, filed based on an advanced degree, not marriage based. I did not file my I-140 and I-485 concurrently. Waited until my I-140 was approved and filed the I-485 about two months after.

Very cool. I’m around your timeline. I have an approved I-140 and filed I-485 on Sep 29. Mine was National Benefits Center but transferred to Nebraska after fingerprinting was done in early Jan (have my EAD and AP already). Waiting for an interview or an RFE for the medical form since then.

Good luck P Q. My RFE was sent because I didn’t attach my I-693 with the I-485 filing on my lawyers advice. I noticed that in my case and for all my friends that applied for EB2 or EB1, the interview was waived. hope that happens in your case too. huge relief.

Hi , I have filled Eb2niw on February 24 (case received) , how long it takes for first response from USCIS, whether RFE or biometrics. filing is based on high experience in project management and engineering field

Highly dependent on the center. I-140 will approve in 8ish months at Nebraska and take twice as long for Texas I think.

usually there is only one update to the I 140 case which is approval unless you get RFE so good luck 👍

Well you are also likely to get invited for biometrics, most people I know get that within 2-6 months, which for you should be at least by the August, 2021. After biometrics, if you don’t get an RFE, they may waive the interview and approve.

it’s definitely allowed. And in my case I think it would have sped things up.

However, I have to note that the advice from my lawyer was to take it to the interview or send in response to the RFE.

Yeah, I have not got the RFE yet. :(

There is no tracking for this that you receive hence it’s a risk to send I-693 because we don’t know where it will go.
