EAD/AP Combo Approved! Job Change/Supplement J
I recently obtained an EAD/AP combo card. I expect to
travel, however, I recently have changed jobs (as per
180-day rule, ofter I-140 approved) and am no longer employed by the same employer. I-485 is still pending due to a recent retrogression. My H1b visa is now transferred to my new employer. Will this pose any problems at the POE when I re-enter in USA using my travel document (Advance Parole) without Supplement J filed by my new employer? or is there are any additional documents I need to produce or bring with me on my
trip?

and how did you get the copy? sorry to ask… did you contact the old company’s lawyer to get it or you got from USCIS?

I contacted my previous attorney office. usually the keep originals. also don’t forget to ask copy of perm and job description which was used for your I-140

yeah we got that, but asking my attorney office for I-140 makes me feel awkward, it’s like telling them I will change jobs. did they contact your old company? that’s the situation I’m talking about… or did the lawyers sent it to you without including your old company on the subject

I don’t think you will need original copy before you fully started for new employer. for anything else scan copy will work. I have obtained my original copy after 4 months of starting new job but still never needed to use original copy. my guess is you will need at the time of green card interview. so don’t need to ask your attorney now unless it is urgently needed for anything else

also you can use excuse that I’m traveling so needed to have it to keep in case asked by CBP
