how long after you contact the congressman was it approved?

@Immi Iz I claimed severe financial loss. I also provided supporting documents as proof. @Kim F I pray you get yours soon. also make sure you try expediting through your congressperson. use this link to find yours: https://www.house.gov/representatives/find-your-representative studies show, filing on your own gives you a 1% chance of getting it as opposed to 20% with your congressperson. that’s what I read somewhere anyway

@Honey Bee I claimed severe financial loss. in the first one, I had no proper claim, so they wouldn’t have asked for evidence… in the second I still wasn’t asked for evidence before denial, in the third I sent all my evidence.

@juju blanke I first contacted my representative on June 30th, that was just before the weekend of 4th of July so they didn’t get back to me till July 6th.response time wasn’t great following that, but got better eventually. I think we first filed July 29th and heard back Aug 4th that there was a mixup with my address which we immediately fixed, then I heard back again yesterday(Aug10) that they had approved my case and today the latest update is that my card has been mailed.

Thank God for you! it's sad that we have to go through all of this to get a card but we gotta keep fighting. I'll do as you have said thanks

my Expedite request approved today in similar fashion. 4th request finally approved after Congressional Inquiry. good luck whoever trying just keeping trying and try to provide as much evidences as possible

hey @immi how long after you requested expedition you got response from them? i have put in my second request on August 22. haven’t heard anything from them as of yet.

in all my requests I got response within 48 hours

I don't remember the exact duration now but it was within 14 days I guess
