thanks for your reply. i had a hard time explaining to the live chat agent about the expedite policy for healthcare worker (btw I am an incoming resident). she always said that’s just for renewal. but under the ‘emergency’ section, it clearly states ‘pandemic’ plus ‘healthcare worker ’ apply to all initial EAD application as well. do you have any suggestions? what do you think I need to do to increase my chance of success? any specific evidence? thank you so much

I think the best bet is to attempt another call ensure to lay emphasis on financial loss to the agent also highlighting your ability to show proof of said loss. then speak on your eligibility as a health care worker who requires the ead to work in his field immediately after that all of these should help also ask if they can send in a request for expeditious processing when I spoke to the agent she said there is a deference between that and an expedite request wishing you all the best and great outcome congratulations on completing the beast of Med school lol

Especially for the hospital/residency program, any advice regarding how to make that sound reasonable or make sense (I mean financial loss)? Your help would be highly appreciated!

both financial loss to you because you unable to earn income /salary financial loss to the hospital because of the possibility of shortage of physicians that would reduce revenue from seeing patients you would just need to present a job offer letter as proof of said loss people submit requests like these daily hopefully they can identify the peculiarities in your case
