EAD approval!
Just want to share my timeline to give someone hope. PD June 29,2021. Bio Oct 8….Expedited EAD on January 11 but nothing was done. Expedited again February 17 & EAD was approved February 18 without asking for evidence. Received EAD February 26. Didn’t wait for USCIS to send my SSN so I had made an appointment with SSA & my appointment was on February 28. Received my SSN March 8. It has been a rough journey as I’ve been depressed many days but I’m in a better mental state now :)

yes I did. It didn’t come with my EAD & I’ve heard about persons that are waiting weeks to months for SSN & I didn’t want that to be me.

when I called SSA to find out if a SSN was requested for me I was told “No”

when you expediated on Jan 11 was it approved? and submitted again on Feb 17?

@W K…. no it wasn’t approved Jan 11. It was assigned to an officer the 12 but apparently the officer didn’t do anything. So I called again February 17 & expedited again then it was approved the 18.

congratulations am currently not ok . applied for ead since June first nothing.I am currently about to lost my job and I even got a better offfer and bc of ead I can’t do the job. I have cried but I will keep hoping

@Agi T…. I’m so sorry to hear that. It’s really devastating going through this. I haven’t been working since last year August. My job before was off the books. Is this a renewal for you?

which number did you call to find out that your SSN wasn’t created? local office?

@ca bug I called the SSA office closest to me. They took my name & DOB to search to find if one was requested. When she said “No” I ask to schedule an appointment.

I apply for expidite they ask me to send them prove which I did it’s been a week I didn’t hear from them should I call them or how will I know if it’s accepted or not

yes better call them I've seen cases where applicants have responded to ref but it was never received by USCIS
