no u need ur ead card or green card

they will give you a hard time, but after a month they will renew your driver's license. My wife went through it

@pksvn I think if you still have a valid i-94 and visa but if not they’ll give you a hard time.

They give hard time in California too. This must be a joke!

Just bring all of your documents in case if they'll ask (work permit, ssn, i-94, identification card, bills: of water/rent under your name, change of address, receipt of i-485)

it takes 30 business days for them to verify your status

i got my drivers license very easy no problem with my I-485 receipt, just also bring proof of why you’re receiving it (for example if you’re parents sponsor you bring you’re parents)
