DRIVER LICENSE RENEWAL WITH EAD RECEIPT NOTICE
Has any one in the DFW had luck renewing their drivers license with their EAD receipt notice? I submitted my renewal 10 months ago and now my drivers license is expired without my work permit being approved.
I’m not sure what to do at this point.

you will still be able to renew your license but it’s not going to be a real ID. only for drivers privilege card. not sure if you can fly with domestically. check with your local DMV

@Aries I yes you can with your recive notice for real ID you need wait a fisically one but DL yes you can

it will be real ID and your Driver license will be valid for one year.

I tried in Dallas in 2016 and they refused to accept it. I got ticketed twice but was able to dismiss them at the court after explaining the situation to the prosecutor.

In Texas, they are so strict about it and wouldn't issue a renewal without the actual card or a renewal approval notice.

If you get pulled over, explain your situation to the officer. If you get ticketed, fight it in court and explain your situation to the prosecutor. Be careful and drive safely, don't get pulled over for speeding.

so I went in for the renewal today, they said they have to reach out to USCIS to verify my status, so I will be waiting for them to reach out back to me.

Please everybody I need your help and I need an answer. I have a question and I have a little problem.. I got approved on my I 131 travel document so but the uscis made a mistake on my name and sometime they sent me a letter for barometric, whereby they already approved my travel documents, and they have already sent it. The travel document to me. Should I attend for the biometric. So today me and my lawyer call the uscis office Monday 27th . A lady picked up the call asked me my name every information she needed and she checked on her system so that the barometric was canceled by us so my lawyer told her that we did not cancel any biometric appointment so she was saying, maybe it might be mistake from the office, but it was not showing on her system that the mistake is from the office. He was showing that they the applicant council it so then she not gave me an advice that I should go for the barometric capturing that if I did not go they mine revoke it .so I should go there and tender my problem telling them about my name was not spelled correct . and my biometric appointment is on Wednesday 29. I just need you guys advice.
