Complicated after getting citizenship
I have a question about my case , I applied for my wife and my son for lawful permanent residence visa when I was a green card holder , I got my citizen a week before there interview in my consulate, then when they passed interview they ask my wife to fill out a separate form I-130 for my son because I’m not longer a green card holder , I’m very wondering what I have to do now , my son and my wife case was approved before I got citizen , now I have to go trough all process again from uscis to nvc pay the fee from the beginning pay the ds260 form 350$ even I paid already when i added my son on my wife form than wait again , my son has 15 months we can’t left him over-there alone .
Please there’s any information or any one has the some experience?

this is really sad, you could probably expedite the case once you put the the I-130 and expedite again at the NVC stage. consult a lawyer. also, since your a citizen I think your child could obtain citizenship immediately after they receive a green card. again consult a lawyer. best of luck!

yes I filled up again a new form for my child , now I have to wait , I don’t know how long have to wait to get him his visa

I'm sorry, but it is your fault. You should have postponed obtaining citizenship certificate , especially since you had a date for the interview.

@yassine kera no need to blame yourself. with this new route your child will become a us citizen faster. simply see if there is a way to expedite the case as obviously the child can not be without parents.
