Can USCIS change mind approval status
hey guys, 2 after my dependent’s case was showing that case was approved 2 days ago, it got updated yesterday to say fingerprints were taken. this is so weird, have you seen this before? Is it possible that USCIS is reconsidering the approval?

@lulu lexis, do you know what was the status that the person’s case was updated to in that case? Was it updated to fingerprints taken or said something like open for reconsideration?

yes, it’s very common. your case has been approved. you can see it on hilites tht approved cases change again to fingerprint

it happened to me and my daugher application all the time,i485 and i130 will say approved and change back immediately yo what it use to be

@pw at first it was actively being reviewed, to case approved to card being produced then back to actively being reviewed. they just say it was a mistake in their end & wasn’t meant to be approved apparently

@lulu lexis I’m sorry to hear that. For my spouse’s case, it moved from approved to fingerprints but when I called USCIS, they said his case was approved and that they are just applying the bio to his case. That seems to be the case because I see another update that his card was mailed.

@P W has your spouse ended up receiving the card? my case is the same. 2 days ago “Case was approved” and today moved to “Case was updated to Show Fingerprints Were Taken”
