- RFI- August 12, 2020, they needed tax forms that we hadn’t been able to get from IRS because of COVID
- Response to RFI received- August 31, 2020
- Biometrics appointment- January 5, 2021
- Request to expedite EAD- March 30, 2021, for financial reasons
- Request to expedite EAD approved- April 2, 2021
- EAD approved- April 7, 2021, delivered to me by April 21, 2021
- Interview scheduled- April 19, 2021
- Interview- May 25, 2021
- New card is being produced!!! - May 25, 2021
Our interview was at the Washington, DC field office in Fairfax, VA. We left the interview feeling a little anxious because the IO did not seem to like us, so we were expecting to have to wait for a while. Case was updated to show approval just a few hours later! So happy and thankful!!

@Maple wood, of course! She only asked us each other’s birthdays, our address, and a short version of how we met. I lost a lot of my original immigration docs from like 10 years ago so most of the questions she asked were about my immigration history.

I have my case in NBC and they sent me a RFE for my last tax information. I sent it back but I’m waiting for 2 weeks and I don’t have updates, did you have to wait months until they approve you RFE respond?

@Aezaz yes! The next day it changed to “Case is Approved” and now it says “Card was mailed to me”

am also feeling so down right now because I just did my interview 3days ago and I have gotten any response from them(uscis)

congrats, see your experience...I will file the I-485 immediately after the wedding and be sure I have all of the documents prepared. seem like to have the GC could been provided in 6 months without the extra delays
