I saw an update on my i-485 and i-765 on 05/30. Do you know what these might mean? I know it means an officer opened the case, but is this a good indication? My i-765 hadn't been touched since my biometrics on 04/17, then updated on 05/30.

@D 3 I had a similar update on I-765 earlier this month on May-16 and next day I received approval for I-765

@Ashley M No, i dont think this is because of outage, it seems someone accessed your file maybe yesterday evening or afternoon and because of planned maintenance timestamp not updated properly. And for system outage you will not be able to access portal, its not like you will some see timestamp or events. summary: you’ll expect something for sure in coming days. goodluckkk.

i also see an API update to my I485 as updated on 5-30-2025.

I got an update on my I485 on 31st. updatedAtTimestamp":"2025-05-31T02:59:58.300Z" if the time stamp is same for everyone then it’s a system update

Not sure. What is your IOE block. Mine is IOE09298XXXX, with receipt date of Jan 03, 2025. Is it possible that they are updating January cases?

@Bo s @BK L Mine was on 05/30, and my husband's i-485 was last on 05/19. So it's not about the system outage/update.

@D 3 What is your receipt date and block number for I485? Could be that cases received on late december and early january are being processed now.

@BK L Receipt date is 03/24. Block number is IOE093096XXXX. I don't think my I-485 will get approved anytime soon, but hoping at least my I-765 will.

We will have to wait until tomorrow. API updated on weekend and emma does not have connect with live agent option on weekend.

@Bo s my timestamp is “2025-05-31T02:49:08…” Receipt no. IOE09293…. RD Jan-2-2025. it does appear the timestamp is only 10 mins apart. Maybe the late dec-Jan cases are getting updates as @BK L said.

@Ashley M that make sense as all 3 of our timelines are very closer that make me believe they might be processing and not a system update. we will find out tomorrow

My PD is April 2025 and my 485 had an update around same time. but this was updated before the scheduled downtime. The update was done at around 2 AM Zulu time. And I doubt if this is anything remotely related to any good news, given it’s just 2 months past by PD.

Looks like this is a system update. I see a lot of people mentioning update on their applications at similar time on Reddit post.

I got the Action taken on case with the API update. ChatGPT says it’s nothing (in my case) Emma agent said my interview has been scheduled

my hope is if you got the text/email notification, then something specific to your case happened and it’s not related to bulk update.

Mine was updated 2025-05-31T02:36:56.156Z. Before that it was updated on May 9th. Both updates were silent.

API updated for I-485 on 9th May with no event updated. Is anyone observing inprogress tab updates to 1 week for EAD.
