Any experience filing WoM with 12 months waiting for Green Card? I need to get back my CDL and their asking me for the GC at the DMV
I filed my GC application on July 2025 and I've been waiting for 12 months (not too bad) the only thing is that I need to get back my CDL. Tried to expedite on November and they denied it in January because I'm from one the 39 countries (Venezuela).
Currently trying another expedite request but has been like a month and still waiting for the call of the USCIS agent.
Already got congressional inquiry on march and senate inquiry couple weeks ago.
just wann know if somebody ever tried Mandamus with 12 months or should I wait a little bit more. the thing is I'm super affected by losing my job and my family income source

going through the same situation and I also sent an expedited request through my congressman office and submitted all evidence to for hardship. its very stressful I've been waiting for 17 month now

I got approved for expedite since June 2026 and it only moved my case to the FO

I talked with Goldstein Immigration Lawyers and they told me I should wait at least to the 18 months to have more chances but I would like to know if somebody ever tried or is in the process with less than 18 months waiting

as I know if u have asylum approved state Florida still issues CDL with no GC
so if u still wanna be pro driver my suggestion go there asap before they close this opportunity

I got my cdl with no GC... Im been waiting for my green card like 24 months now... asylum approved

@Eck M how did you get your cdl without a green card because I'm in the state of Texas but I was told by dps&dmv that its not possible i can come back if green card is approved and what state did you get your cdl from?

I got my CDL with my EAD (C08) 5 years ago but now there's no chance to get the CDL without the GC I'm in TX

@mb mb I think he got his CDL before the new federal policy regarding the CDLs and they even include specifically asylees and refugees

I got my CDL in October last year after law change... I have just my EAD 05

Makes sense. Some states keep issuing CDLs until March 16, 2026. after that date there's no more chance to get the CDL
but the problem is that states like TX revoke the active licenses in October 2025.

@Arm G que mal hermano yo no e podido averiguar lo del mandamus no se me da miedo .. ya enviaste al congresista y que te dijeron? ami me enviaron una respuesta generica .. en que parte de usa estas?
