@sam s How to file escalation? is it different than inquiry? The processing time is always showing that my case is within normal processing time and the earliest I can submit an inquiry is February 2026

@hello world does the exact wording on your online case tracker say “Case remains pending? Did you ever get the “Visa Bulletin not Current or Case held in Abeyance” update at any point? If you can share the exact status on your online tracker, that would be helpful.

in September my 485 file transferred from FO TO NBC STATUS UPDATED TO VISA BULLETIN IS NOT CURRENT OR CASE HELD IN ABEYANCE

@Kevin 123 same with me. Honestly I feel this status is misleading and may cause officers not to look at the case thinking our PDs are not current.

this is exact wording - We are temporarily pausing work on your application because an immigrant visa number is not immediately available to you. Once an immigrant visa number becomes immediately available to you, we will resume processing of your application.

@Kevin 123 yes moved back to NBC from FO because of visa unavailability. PD July 2023 ROW

the core issue with my case is why uscis put my case pending for entire year saying no visa available which can not be true

I don’t know if my case moved to FO or not. never got notification for that
