Advanced Parole
I received my EAD approved in September 2021 which is valid for 2 years . I travelled internationally last week and while returning back was pulled aside at immigration for further check of documents . After they checked the documents , they said I was good to go and when returned home I checked that my passport was stamped paroled until Dec 2022 , although my EAD is valid for Sep 2023 . Is there a mistake by immigration ? Do I need to contact them for correction ? Or it’s a normal process to grant only 1 year parole and I need to travel again internationally to get another 1 year extension before this one expires . Any inputs is highly appreciated .

I just received my combo card ead and advance Parole approved this week, does that work like a temporary green card? you are allowed to travel outside the us ?

harjinder Singh - I have a combo EAD card . although this was my first time travelling outside US on this card but I believe you can travel as many times as you want provided it’s valid .

@Sunny Singh, I used mine twice, however you have to be very careful, only travel if it’s extremely urgent and important, because if mrX is out of the country and the case is deny, the implication is Mr. X will not be allow to come in. it’s always best to use it before interview.

same happened to me my card is valid October 22 But after travelling on returned to the US they decreased the time period from Oct to Jan

I think the parole is still only one year while the adjusted EAD is now 2years. Infact the way the US immigration works is scary and unknown.

Does this mean that you can travel within the 2 year period if combo card is valid for 2 years? or can you only travel within the first year?
