Honestly, i wouldn't travel unless it is truly an emergency. For many reasons, traveling on AP does not guarantee you re-entry. You will be subject to inspection upon arrival, and God forbids you get one of those assholes at CBP. If you're traveling, make sure that there's nothing that can trigger them not to let you in, ie, past criminal records, or what not. If you're to travel while your I-485 is pending, make sure you bring with you your I-797C's. Once you come back they'll ask about your pending application and send you to secondary. As long as you have your AP valid everything should be fine.

I have used advance parole to travel before, and when you get back into the country at the boarder, they will check for any criminal record if you have none, you are good to go.

I used it last Xmas, stayed 7 weeks in my home country, came back and there was no issues... immigration will check the document and stamp you in, cbp will inspect you and still take the document. nothing more

My brother was stopped and questioned! No criminal record, completely clean and a straight "A" Business student. Jonathan is not wrong. Good advise! My brother was asked a lot of questions and finally let in.

@nk a lot of question like what
Hope k5 de mar de 2021
Dave, I apologize but I don't know exactly what was asked and unfortunately, after a brain injury he is incapacitated so I can't even ask him. All I remember is that in 2012 with the 485 pending he decided to attend my cousins wedding in India and while coming back he was separated from the family and taken for questioning. He was finally allowed in, but most definitely getting stopped is not out of question. It can happen.
