About SSN
Hello everyone! Wishing you'all the best! 💫 I just received in hands my EAD and AP, can I apply for a SSN now? Or I have to wait to arrive my green card? I'd like to get my own credit card, build my credit...some people tell me I have to wait for my green card, but It really doesn't make sense since I have a work permit now. Thank you, I'll really apreciate your answers 🙏

You will receive your card within 7-10 business days after receiving your I-766 Employment Authorization Document (EAD) or I-551 Lawful Permanent Resident Card (Green Card). ). We will send your Social Security card to the address you provided on the application.

I can't remeber if I applied for SSN when I filled the form. So I think there is no problem if I call my local Social Security Office, to confirm.

P L my attorney did applied one for me, but it didn’t arrive and I was anxious about it so I went to the local office and they didn’t see anything on my name so I applied again and then it arrived 5 days later
