I already got this update in 2024. But just got this update again.
We are temporarily pausing work on your application because an immigrant visa number is not immediately available to you. Once an immigrant visa number becomes immediately available to you, we will resume processing of your application.
Have you guys had this update? If so, how long did it take you to get GC??
Could anyone share your experience?or some advice
Hi everyone,
I’m wondering if anyone has actual experience with this situation.
I was granted asylum, currently have a valid A5 EAD, and I have an asylum-based I-485 pending while I’m waiting for my green card.
I have no criminal record and, as far as I know, I don’t have any removal/deportation order.
My question is:
If ICE stops or questions me while I’m waiting for my green card, can they detain me even though my asylum has already been granted and I have a valid A5 EAD?
If anyone has been in a similar situation, I would really appreciate hearing what actually happened.
